Hachiko's story has been commercialized but there's something about this station that reminds me about stopping and slowing things down. This exit has been a famous meeting place of people and as I look at the faces of these people waiting for their partners, colleagues, families, I realized that I belong here. Life in Tokyo maybe crazy, stressful, toxic, and would feel like Manic Monday everyday, but I feel as though I'm really home. Traveling has gotten me into places and unfamiliar faces but nothing beats a cool October breeze than being in the middle of a fast-paced, busy and demanding life that Tokyo leads.
