Perfecting Chocolate Chips Muffins

I made my very first muffins. My first attempt was a slight failure. The muffins turned with uneven surface. I should have placed toothpicks to let hot air evenly in the sponge. Hmm...I also changed the oven's settings in the middle, as I was experimenting. My chocolate chips muffins tasted fine alright and with little tweaking, I'm pretty confident that next time will be perfect!
