Empire State Building & An Affair To Remember

I won't deny that my all time romance movie fave is An Affair To Remember. Once re-titled a Love Affair, the two lover's decide to meet at the top of the Empire State (then the tallest building in the world) to leave behind their lives and start a new one. Oh the power of love! Of course, it didn't end up the way Mike and Terry planned it (truth is, things normally don't turn out the way we planned them to be), but true love will always find it's way to happy endings.

Of course, my New York tour wouldn't be complete without setting foot on this marvelous building. I decided not to climb the top because we were with the two little kids and I wouldn't want them to wait. I told Gerald that I will climb the top of the building once I found that one true love. Ahahaha.

Speaking of 'one true love', people would think that my 'new relationship' with HB is almost too stupid. Well, we're always a little bit different. Yes we decided to be friends and he let me go. Both of us has moved past the denial phase and we're comfortable talking about our past. Last night, we even talked about the prospect of me meeting a really nice guy (whom he said would be his exact opposite). The funniest part being - he made me sit on his lap (our only understood rule to keep this friendship is no kissing) as we were chatting and then he suddenly pull my inner blouse up. He said it was too low! Ahh...My sometimes conservative, partly passionate, equally crazy and stupid HB and me would never have regrets and we won't have the WHAT IFs, because we did our best. Ours may have the same An Affair To Remember ending...or not. Yet I'm absolutely sure that our friendship will be standing tall and strong, just like The Empire State Building.
