I was ready to compare the world-famous Bali to our very own white-sand soul-soothing wonders of Bora. But as it turned out, Bali was not how I imagined it to be. Instead of the calm waters, we were greeted with angry waves, teasing us, as if challenging us to extreme water sports, and I don't even know how to swim! Ahahaha
Well, I did dare try wakeboarding, I was half-successful. I wanted to try more but my arms are already burning and swollen. I say half-successful, because wakeboarding eliminated my tremendous fear of the ocean.
One very memorable Bali adventure was the turtle farm. It's mind-boggling how these turtles live as long as 500 years! It was really cool to be able to touch them..

I dont regret the fact that I dropped everything, packed my bags and just let things be. I re-discovered laughter and appreciation of the simple things. I realized that I was too biased against Indonesia and it's people. It is true indeed that you should never judge a book by it's cover. The Indonesians are almost the same as us Pinoys, and in some aspects, I observed even better than us.
