Downdown Jakarta was not the most pleasant places. This I must say. I wouldn't recommend a foreigner (especially a girl) to be touring this area. We however, discovered that this villa and restaurant is a very nice place to hang around. It is also a gallery.

My most memorable experience in Jakarta came when I requested for a room massage. I was thinking of disposing my adidas walking shoes at that time and I noticed that the girl who massaged me had the same feet size as me. She was really nice and chatty and considerate, so I decided to give it to her instead of throwing the shoes away. I was suprised at the instant spark in her eyes. You can really give happiness to people without doing great stuffs. I felt better that I had given something to smile about to someone else, without any cost at my end.
