100K Birthday Treat

HB asked me how much are we supposed to spend for my birthday celeb last Fri night with him. I was just kidding when I said 100K. We had dinner at a hotel somewhere in Shibuya. I really don't remember the name, it was nice, and expensive! The told me that his friend stayed in that hotel once and told him that there's a corner view room, with an amazing view of the surrounding area thru your bathtub. The view at the restaurant was really nice, we were already at the 40/f and we could see Tokyo night skyline. Tokyo, the brightest city in the world. In fact, it is so bright that you can clearly see it from space. While we were dining, there was this DOM with a girl dressed in bloody red backless cocktail. They were such an 'interesting' couple to watch. Her purse was Hermes and she was like your perfect escort service. HB said...I'm sorry I cannot afford an Hermes for your birthday. I told him, I am not a big fan. And anyway, we were gonna spend 100K so that was enough. Up to this point I was still kidding. The restaurant closed at 12.30am and we spent barely 30K. He asked how we were gonna spend 70K more. I said surely we can play darts all night long, or go pubbing, or go to karaoke but I was actually tired and a little sleepy.

We were standing outside the the hotel lobby and he made a phone call. A night in the corner view room was over 60K...Just right for my 100K birthday treat. Century Hyatt was more spacious and had lots of cable channels, but indeed, the catch for this hotel was the magnificent view of the city. That made your 60K worthwhile!

The following day while we were having lunch at Excelsior Cafe and while I was looking at the bill, I said...My gosh, indeed we spent almost a 100K for just 1 night. Geez. That was some money drain out of his poor pocket. Then again, maybe he's planned it all along...
