Shortly before I went back to Tokyo, Flor, Candy, Jerome and I got together in Via Mare, Greenbelt. It was a good Thursday evening. Not so crowded, not so dull either. We updated each other with what's happening in our lives, with the three wanting to visit me next year in Tokyo. ***
As I was writing all the good stuffs happening in my life of late, I begin to think about Myanmar and the tragedies that the people of Myanmar are dealing with right now. One Japanese reporter, Nagai-san died while he was covering the demo. Apparently, he was shot my the Myanmar military dead on the spot in the middle of the strikes and demo. It's very saddening to know that people fight, and kill, all for power and money. We can be really greedy at times. I hope to do something worthwhile to help myself and the people I know become more peace-loving and humane. I pray for Myanmar and for all of us.
