I've always felt challenged when it comes to taking care of something else that breathes! I've never been good at nourishing living things. Although several times I've received fishbowls as birthday gift, with my friends hoping that will be a start, I end up leaving the job to the maid. I love pets but I can't take care of them. I even killed the Tamagochi (an electronic pet) of my friend. Horrible horrible memories.
Until recently there were give-away left-overs at Saginomiya Gym just before we started playing badminton. The Gym caretaker said that we could stash out whatever pots we want. I took 2, just because everybody else did.. I started to feel responsible to water them just because my fellow badminton buddies might ask about the plants. Then it became a habit. And 2 months after I got the 2 rose pots, I saw with pride this morning, as I water my plants, new leaves and a rose in bloom! I can actually take care of another living thing. I can actually nourish them. A small feat accomplished, but I'm happy and excited for more roses to bloom!

I can nourish it...
