We live in a very diverse world, this is one thing that nobody can argue against. But even though we know we hold unique characters, different backgrounds and different experiences, we always tend to forget. Instead, we often judge everyone by the way we judge ourselves. We treat everyone the way we treat ourselves. I thought this was right, until I start to live in another country and work with different nationalities.
Yesterday, St, Ignatius Church in Yotsuya celebrated its first international festival. I was touched by the main celebrant, a Japanese bishop, Bishop Kudo's sermon. He said that he is touched everyday by how much migrants in Japan are trying their best to fit into the Japanese way, and by how open-hearted and open-minded the migrants are. He said that we all should learn valuable lessons from these. That we should look at each person with more openness and understanding. That if we do our share, there will surely be a much better world out there for us. I hope each of us take a moment to stop and look at the things that surround us, and as we do, let us keep an open heart to listen.

This Weekend's Highs:
I havent done this in quite a while...
- Time I had all for myself - to fulfill household chores and do my girlie stuffs!
- T's graceousness to accompany me in my shopping, even though we didn't plan it. And for taking me to a cheap shoe store. I had a good find! Trekking shoes, which I will break-in in my upcoming US Tour!
- Yummy (and very affordable) sushi!
- Quick chat with Allan, my badminton coach and friend. Unfortunately, our sched didnt match last time you visited. But hey you've got my mobile phone number,so next time call or text me.
- Kind words from Kozue. Her tears and sadness over my resignation were more than enough to make me feel that somehow I've done OK.
- K-san from AXA's CIO office. It was a great week closer!
