English Dinner's First Year Anniversary

Last night was a successful 1st year anniversary gathering of people who have common interests in improving their English speaking skills, as well as people who are gifted with the tongue and are willing to share their skills and time, and in exchange reward themselves with new acquaintances and friends.

I established this informal English Dinner Club with two goals in mind. (1) Help Japanese improve their English skills and (2) pave the way for cultural exchanges in the hope that one day we will have better understanding and respect of each other's differences and in spite of these, we all share the same longing - to belong, to be heard and to be appreciated for who we are.

I'm happy that more and more people come to this event and I am very hopeful that we just might make it through another year.
