The National Badlands

The last stop of our 2008 US Rockies Roadtrip was the National Badlands. This place hosts very fascinating topology that gives us peak preview to how millions of years ago our ancestors have lived. So much has changed then and now, but humanity remains. I'm thankful that I live not in the area of dinasaurs where living conditions were probably very savage. I feel blessed that I didn't live in the era of kingdoms and princes and princesses. How would I have fared then? Would I be peasant who will try all her life but then end up with the same simplicity that the plains and borroughs offer? Or would I be a princess trapped in her emmaculate image and burdened with the hassles of royalty. I am too free-spirited and a little too competitive for all those.
As I stare wondering into this wild, I offered a silent prayer to thank God for the life that I have. For the ups and downs, and the sometimes bumpy ride of my life's journey. I thank God for the gift of health, time and spare money t travel and see the world. While I feel sorry for most people's hardships, especially those children in Africa, I offer them a sincere prayer and I hope that the new road that I'm about to step into will bring me to opportunities to share my blessings to them. And most of all, I thank God for the overwhelming blessings of love from my family, friends, and from T and for the peace and happiness that it brings to my heart.
One of the most amazing experiences had come to a close and I really thank Em for the company, friendship, the arguments, laughs and the moments that we will forever keep in our heart - the once in a lifetime experience seen behind the wheels and through the eyes of two roadtrippers who share passion for the natural things and for anticipating the un-anticipated.
