I Swam 25 Meters Non-Stop!

15 minutes prior to the start of my swimming class last night, my spirit was all down and out. My progress (or the lack of it) is so frustrating that I was about to accept that I probably won't learn how to swim. I've been on and off this program for 2 months now and nothing's happening much. No thanks to my bad posture, my legs just keep shrinking and for some reason my left hand doesn't know what to do. One consolidation though is that I did become comfortable breathing in the water. So I was wondering if this pursuit is worth doing. However under my current state of mind and heart (which a guy friend describes as the s#!tty me) I decided to just stick with it, going ou partying everyday is so exhausting and having these lessons give me excuse to not drink on Friday nights (at least not outside my house).
..And then the unthinkable happened. 10 minutes before the lesson ended my teacher taught me how to do breathe while crawling. The first 5 minutes suck (not to my surprise), but on my last try I was able to swim 25 meters all the way without stopping! Whew ~ I can swim! And it was not so difficult.
I went from 60,000 feet down under to an instant high. One moment you're down and out and when you least expect it, something incredible happens. You haven't planned it, you dont expect but it turned out naturally, it happened right before your eyes, and in that single instant you forget all the hardships that got you there.
