All About Work

I got in charge of strategy but my boss doesn't believe in my strategy. He needs affirmation from a politically powerful group. The irony is that this politically powerful group is actually in sync with my road map and they expect me to do my job. Politics in action again.

There is this colleague of mine who instead of minding his own business squeezes himself into my area of responsibility. Sadly, he is my boss 'pet' and I need to work around both of them so many times. I am confident that I've had so many 'political trainings' in the past but I really see it pointless to deal with 'blockers'.

One thing going for me is that I have a 'big supporter' and we both have brought this to the CIOs table. Now who can argue with that?! Coming to this company I swore that I'd clip my 'political wings' but let's face it, there is always an art to doing the right thing.

Feb was very slow but I can't afford March to slip. There is no way that I will let success go.
