Continuing along the lines of pain points, I must admit that even though I'm not so much into politics (and is consciously avoiding writing about it in my blog) I was disappointed at the resignation of the current Japanese PM Hatoyama-san. Sure there's the US bases move issues and scandals (what else is new???) in his cabinet, but I thought he wouldn't succumb easily to these pressures. I gave him too much credit than he deserves.
The thing with the Japanese political leaders is that, they have no balls to face and endure adversity. That's probably where ex-PM Suzuki had an advantage, at least he stayed for 3 years. What can you accomplish with top leaders leaving the post in a little below a year?
Maybe it is a universal truth that indeed, Japanese men are actually marsh mallows on the inside. And I don't mean to offend anyone nor generalize, just a thought to ponder on.
