The most unusual weekend

The original plan was....go snowboarding with the ウチクル friends, leaving Friday night for Madarao and arriving Shinjuku on Sunday evening.

Then there's talk with the boss about a day ski tour between us 3 neighbors. The plan was to drive in the same direction as Madarao so I can just meet ウチクル. Wise move, right?
And then the boss realized his daughter had a recital, so we had to cancel...which was fine.

Then the original March Manila visit to my home with 2 KOBC friends got crazy (schedule-wise) and we ended up trying to change the date to Feb 11-13. Diving is the main agenda (aside from badminton with the Philippine team) so I was ready to cancel on ウチク. But as luck would have it, the availability was only for business class. Too expensive...so, we finally decided to postpone until the お盆休み。

I thought...before we go to my home in Philippines, they can visit my home in Japan first. So the wii party on Friday afternoon plan was born. I thought the unexpected snow would cancel the home party but everybody came! We had lots to eat and lots to drink and we had a vodka. Things go crazy and one friend really got drank that I had a sleepover...Which means that I needed to cancel on my snowboarding trip. Not really a bad idea because my head was spinning from too much alcohol.

Woke up around 10am Saturday with a terrible terrible headache and I wanted to play badminton to sweat away the liquor. Some friends organized at Tamachi, that turned out to be a bad idea (the sports center was crowded). I wasn't planning on going to Shibuya, I was really tired. But we thought ok let's change venue and leave early because we were planning on feasting over the left-overs of the past night's party at home. Our timing was fine. But with badminton, it is really hard to stop so we ended up staying until 9pm. My friend A apparently invited a stranger we just met to join us in our house. To my surprise, this 'stranger' said yes. So to make the long story short, 3 of them ended up sleeping over.

Geez, two sleepovers, two straight hang-over! Sunday was badminton day again with FFBC, and I hanged around for 2 hours (5-7pm) in the 飲み会. I really hated the alcohol but for the sake of socialization I stayed (wink!) . Got back to Oimachi to join Team 75 practice in the evening. I was so glad to see them. I got lucky with choco from the girls too!

I ended up in bed at 1am with the weirdest and the most unusual feeling. What I'm most glad though is that I met this stranger who I felt totally comfortable with. I wish I can spend time with him again. But if not, I'm still glad we got to spend several hours together.
