The Hassles & Joy Of Moving...

Days just seem to zoom passed me! Partly due to my moving to a new house and all the necessary preps. I've never had to move in this scale before so everything was new to me. Oh, let me rephrase that - I've never had to do everything when I moved houses in this scale before so I didn't have to worry about all the minute details. Now I am completely responsible for everything - from finding a new place to live, the contract signing process, application for change in my address - at work, in banks, mobile phone subscription, applying for a forward address, cancellation of my apartment's current contract, my internet and cable TV subscription, transferring electricity, gas and water connections, not to mention packing, looking for and contracting the right movers, and I suppose unpacking. I guarantee the hassles! But thanks to the internet and mobile phone, most of the preps I can do while I take short breaks from my work. It really pays a lot when you're in a 1st world country, I suppose. Afraid that I miss a step, I've learned to maintain a list of To Dos! And my pocket calendar comes in very handy. Now comes the joy - I'm actually beginning to be proud of myself. I still got 9 days to accomplish my To Dos, and until then, I'm gonna stay busy and enjoy each morning inhaling the fresh Higashi Nakano air for as long as I can.
