Religious Boyfriend - Forwarded Mail

I rarely post forwarded mails but this one made me laugh.

A young man went into a pharmacy and asked the pharmacist, "Hello. Could you give me a condom. I am having dinner at my girlfriend's house and Ithink she is expecting something from me!"The pharmacist gave him the condom and as the young man was stepping out,he turned back and told him, "Give me another condom because mygirlfriend's sister is a fox. She wears provocative outfits when I am around, and I think she expects something from me too."The pharmacist gave him a second condom and as the boy was leaving, he again turned back and said, "Give me one more condom because mygirlfriend's mom is still pretty hot, and since she invited me for dinner, I think she is expecting something from me!" At the dinner table that evening, the young man sat with his girlfriend on his left, the sister on his right and the mom facing him. When the dad arrived, the boy lowered his head and started praying, "Dear Lord, bless this dinner... thank You for all You've given us..."A minute later the boy was still praying: "Thank You Lord for your kindness..." Ten minutes go by and the boy was still praying, keeping his head down. The others looked at each other surprised, his girlfriend even more than the others. She leaned close to the boy and whispered in his ear,"I didn't know you were so religious!" The boy whispered back, "I didn't know your dad was a PHARMACIST!"

I woke up really excited today as our stocks are going up and I plan to sell today. But surprise! surprise! It surged down, -210 today. Whew~! One of life's humors hahaha. I can still sell it and profit but I will take my chances until next week.

Lately, office work have been toxic and stress is starting to pile up again. Although this time around, I try not to dwell too much on the negative. I am also starting to pay more attention to my managerial responsibilities such as coaching and helping others become the best of what they can be. It's a challenge with my 'flock' now, but I will try anyway.

It's a little tiring to juggle between dating, badminton and work! Sometimes I think that I'm overdoing it. But our HR Mgr told me today that I look a lot better these days, so much better than before. Song, our QA also have noticed. Sonoka too. So, I guess, I am really getting there. I won't deny setbacks, but I will also take pride in the changes in my life - the positive changes.

When I told Lanye that these days I am not in a shopping mode and that my autumn fashion statement is 'reuse, remix!'. She said, 'Is that you Emzi! The Emzi who doesn't keep up with the season's fashion is unheard of!' But I told her that these days I'm learning to make do with what I have. And she said 'it so happen that you have a lot!'. We both laughed. Truly, I have a lot, more than enough, more than what I need.

HB was supposed to release configuration changes in our staging environment at about 9.30am today. He ICQed me at around 11.30 and apologized that he hasn't done anything because he had an emergency. He then asked some clarification on the procedure and I took hold of Liz over the phone so I could answer his questions. He said that he's not at home and not in the office and was asking if he needed to wait for the final confirmation. I was tempted to ask if everything was OK, but I guess I value my momentum more, so I withheld. Actually, I've delegated Shimizu to coordinate the activities and I am almost not involved so I was quite suprised that he contacted me. On one hand, maybe he was thinking that given the time constraint and his emergency, he figured that it's easier to go directly to me. I am silently praying that whatever emergency he has is nothing serious and that everything is OK with him.
