Driving and Cars and Toll Fees.

There will be no 'workarounds' to get discounts at tollways starting June this year. The payment schemes will change and all discounts will be gone. An additional charge will be 2000 yen flat (it's not accurate but) after 60 km but then according to survey, the average car runs around 40km which still falls under the 1250 (for a regular car) toll fee so it probably won't be a big 'deal'. Owning, maintaining and driving a car is beginning to sound expensive. Do I really want one? I think so. Yes.

My friend Mai, who is now happily with Nissan has just happily married last weekend. She was glowing (oh a very envious sight!) and more importantly she may be able to give me discount should I decide to buy a Nissan. But do I want one? Hmmm.....Will need to think about it.

Speaking of cars, I almost got in BMW. But the office is so far in Maihama and I didn't think I'd jive with the director. Think about it, if I went with BMW I'd be driving one today and living in Maihama and probably wouldn't have met half of the friends I have now. And I probably wouldn't have the salary I have now (not that it's that 'fat'?!) That's how trade off works. I guess. But do I think I made the right life bargain? Hmmmm.....maybe.
