From Long Holiday Mode And Back

I don't remember the real last time I truly spent very productive and meaningful holiday but for the last week's Golden Week vacation.

Fad a facial...
One big lesson from my recent experiences is that we women should never forget to take care of ourselves and that we should love ourselves so that others will love us back.

Did my Saturday whole day badminton thing, which ended up in a dinner (again with Titus, Alfred and Irene in a Korean izakaya somewhere in Komazawa Daigaku, Setagaya)
Tours and vacation always mean pigging out and drinking hard, so to prepare for a week long of no exercise, I had to make time whenever I can. Truly, this day was a blast, except for the fact that I sprained my left lower back because I was too lazy to stretch. This day was the first I played badminton with so much taping - on my left lower back, my right shoulder and my right big toe. Point well taken. I still want to have a long badminton career.

Spending time@ home.
Experience told me that we should not push ourselves too much that we stop looking forward to tomorrow. So today I spent the whole Sunday cleaning, doing the laundry and preparing my wardrobe for when I go back from holiday and of course last minute prep for the Philippine island hopping trip itinerary, and chill out a little bit at home.

Odaiba Monday Day Tour
With Pinoy friends, I rediscover Odaiba, and for the first time (and finally) went to Oedo Onsen Monogatari. It was really cool! As luck would have it,
we had a chance encounter with a badminton buddy Andy who was just as surprised as we were to see him there. You can never be truly prepared for what life puts you through.

And then finally the long awaited Philippine Island hopping tour.

I'm trying to switch back from my vacation mode to work mode and what a way to pull my career oriented mind back than to blog a little bit. So, as I close today's entry, I can't help but appreciate more the blessings that life has given me. Instead of fighting for my destiny, maybe what I should do is to go with the flow, have a heart that is as open as the ocean, a body that is willing and a soul that never tires.
