Apparently there was an earthquake around 5am this morning according to Dopol's FB. I am very much pleasantly surprised that I didn't feel a thing. I was soundly sleeping. Last night was good, went to bed at 12mn, no dreams, nothing. I woke up today feeling fresher. I'm making a snail (I dare not say turtle-ish) progress.

Japan speed skaters Nagashima and Kato won the silver and bronze medals last night and TV shows today hold stories of their struggles just to get through and grab their medals. Men's figure skating also starts today and figure skaters Takahashi, Oda and Otsuka are on the spotlight. The Chinese pair skaters couple (my fave couple) grabbed the gold. They decided to retire in 2007 but the desire to win the olympic gold burns strongly in their hearts and thus they returned with flying colors.
It never ceases to amaze me how the world's greatest athletes dedicate their life, endure the pain, resist the temptations and sacrifice the 'other desires of their hearts' just for that several minutes. Ahh, the drama of life. Each one unique. Each one special. But the storyline is all the same - for love, for God, for glory.
My Olympic dream is to someday be the most supportive Mom to an Olympian.
