The Weekend That Wasn't....

At least the weekend didn't. After the horrific experience a couple of weekends ago with a TG even, I wasn't so keen on going to the Yoyogi Hanami. For all the bad in me, I was actually praying for a bad weather so B my friend would cancel. The weather turned out really nice and sunny, but B's got a sink blockage...Oh no, damn! It's true when people tell you be careful what you wish for, it might come true. But most people forget the fact that when it does come true, it is often in a form or shape or scenario that never actually crossed your mind. So anyway, gone is the hanami and I was free to play badminton the whole day in three different locations. We ended up in TGIF for late dinner and I arrived home at around 12:30mn. I promised Sono that I'll help out with the Sunday hanami prep but I was just too tired to get out of bed. When I finally do, I still needed to finish my tons of dirty laundry. I booted my PC and to my fright it crashed.

Anyway I ended up arriving just in time to start the bbq. Friends came and because it was freezing cold (again be careful what you wish for!) so we moved to Sono's house as early as 3.30pm. More talking and drinking but not so much hanami.

I don't want to say my weekend sucks because of these unplanned things. Instead I will not worry about my PC too much, believe in miracles that my digital memorabilia will be recovered somehow, and that even though I have no perfect cherry blossom pictures this year, what I will take away from the weekend was the warm company of friends despite the cold weather.
