I went to Motomachi Yokohama to do some validation tests on our POS machines this morning. After I've finished at around 10:30am, I roamed around and was captivated by the chic street and my its history. Motomachi is the original Yokohama city and as most of the surrounding areas is still one of the known tourist spots there. It is very close to Chinatown. Yep yep, the Chinese had big influences in shaping the history of Yokohama. I wasn't prepared for a long walk so my feet were aching and I tried to find a coffee shop to rest a bit. To my surprise most shops in Motomachi opens at 11:00 and closes at 20:00. Geez, they still hold the tradition of opening late and closing early. Or maybe it's because this place is a little bit far and off the heart of the (now) city of Yokohama. I woke up at 6am just to be on time for the morning's job in far away Yokohama so I'm really tired. On the way back to Tokyo, I slept like a baby and almost missed getting out of the train in Shibuya. I got an early lunch invite from two colleague and friends so I met them directly at the station. I was thinking of going home early and hitting the gym after 1 month of absence, but I don't think that I can pull this one off today. I'm dead tired and I still have to conduct a 2 hour meeting with my partner vendors.
Work and pleasure combined. Nice job. But I don't know what's changed inside of me because I don't feel the same flaming, burning passion inside. Anyway, it's nice to have been to Motomachi and then back again for a half-day job.
