Shoes, stilleto's and this crazy weather

Yesterday was chilly. Today is even more chilly. The past two weeks have been raining cats & dogs but last week wasn't anywhere near cold. So anyway, in this crazy rainy season one challenge that every woman (I think) has is what shoes to wear in order to match the desired fashion for the day. We don't want to waste our expensive shoes just to have it soaked wet in the rain, do we? I bought one rain shoes but I think I might have gone over the edge with the design and the total look doesn't match most of my clothes, unless of course I wear denim pants. But who wants to wear denim pants during the rainy season when you can end up really wet and cold going to the office (never mind going home). That rain boots was a total disaster. I got myself a rain sandals from Gap (of course). It's totally convenient but I'm struggling with the very (too) casual image it helps accessorize. So, last week I brought a pair of closed shoes in the office and just use the rain sandals while I'm traveling. The only catch is that I still can't freely wear the clothes I want to wear for fear that my rain sandals will not match them and someone I know might see me. The rain sandal is not really a major disaster, it just isn't the right fit for the job. I got all my summer sandals and stilletos out last weekend and since this week, there's only drizzle here and there, I've been wearing stilletos to the office. I'm thinking of disposing some of my sandals this year (every girl's shoe rack needs to be upgraded from time to time!) so I really don't mind exposing them to the rain. The thing though, is I have never worn them in almost 3 years now, and I'm challenged to wear them now. I used to kill these 5 inches stilletos and still dash to beat the yellow light. Ahh, so much has changed.
