Celebrate your success

One of things that I have learned that helped me become a better person (I think...) is that we need to celebrate our successes. We don't need loud parties instead, a pause from our daily battles against the things that life throws at us. Pausing and posing at our personal podium helps remind us why we are doing the things we do, as well as offers us a moment of fulfillment that will help us stay motivated because there will be lots of slumps ahead.

We also need to be aware of the fact the wheels can turn at any moment, so we shouldn't totally lose our contact with the ground. Let's be at our toes so we don't get frustrated coming back to the playing field.

I've been through these phases where I partied and slept soundly when I accomplish something big at work, only to come back to office with tons of emails containing production issues. I used to panic, because I used to hate surprises but now, as I gain more wisdom I have learned to take each email at a time. I also learned to love surprises. And then leave the rest to faith - that my staff will pull through and that God always has his ways and means to mold me in a much better person that I can be.
